CHICKEN ACHARI (QUICK RECIPE)





Achari chicken is a popular South Asian dish that combines tender pieces of meat with tangy, spicy pickle flavors. Here is a recipe to make achari chicken at home:


Ingredients:

750g chicken

2  medium size sliced onion

1/2 cup  oil

Half tablespoons ginger paste

Half tablespoons garlic paste

3 tbsp Achari Masala

Salt to taste

4  tomato puree

1/2 cup yogurt


FOR CHILLIES FILLING

2 tbsp achari masala

5-6 green chillies

2 tbsp lemon juice

FILLING OF CHILLIES

1. First deseed all the chillies

2. Mix achari masala and lemon juice together.

3. Fill up the chillies with mixed masala



METHOD

1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and sauté until golden brown.

2. Add the ginger and garlic paste and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the raw smell is gone.

3. Add the tomato puree, and yogurt, and stir to combine.

4. Add the achari masala, and salt, and mix well.

5. Add the chicken and fry until oils get separated.

6. Cover the pot and cook until the meat is tender and cooked through, about 20 minutes.


Garnish with filled chillies and serve with hot naan or rice.
